Using MotionChip™ DSP control technology, Technosoft has developed several families of intelligent, universal drives and motors with CAN interface. These high-performance intelligent servo drives represent a true universal drive solution covering all type of applications for brushless, DC, linear and step motors from 25 W (36 V, 2 A) up to 3 kW (325 V, 10 A). They are designed to embed motion control, drive and PLC functionalities in a single frame unit. The hardware structure of intelligent motors (brushless and step versions) integrates motor, power electronics, controller, position sensor and interface in the same compact unit with basic local digital and analog I/O signals.
Technosoft drives / motors incorporate a motion controller with a powerful trajectory generator providing: S-curve and trapezoidal profiles, interpolated modes PVT (3rd order) and PT (1st order), electronic camming and gearing with option to add a 2nd motion mode.
Technosoft motion technology is best valued in systems with distributed intelligence, where the motion application tasks are split between master and drives. Complex movement sequences can be programmed directly on the drives, while system control functions are handled from the supervising PC / PLC. The embedded motion controller offers the same high-level motion language for all motors, making their technology differences transparent to the user.
Motion programming can be done

- Via a PC host using C, VB, Delphi, LabVIEW motion libraries
- Via a PLC using PLC libraries IEC 61131-3 compatible
- Via a CANopen master (for CANopen versions)
Typical feedback devices include tacho generators, incremental encoders, digital or linear halls, sine / cosine encoders, resolvers. Three mounting styles are available for the Technosoft drives: panel-mount, DIN-rail and plug-in modules.
Product range data: input voltage 12 VDC to 325 VDC, output power 25 W to 3 000 W, and output current 2 ARMS to 10 ARMS. The intelligent motors have input voltage 12 VDC to 48 VDC and nominal torque up to 1,8 Nm.
All products support CiA301 and CiA402 profiles. The new iPOS family also supports CiA305 LSS protocol.
