2040 Colour display

The 2040 Colour Display is used as a graphical user interface of a machine's control system. The display is based on TFT technology and provides the latest communication options for the machine operator. The 2040 Display is a solid part of a control system and it also allows mounting outside the cabin. Typically the unit is installed in the dashboard, or on top of a display pedestal, allowing user to adjust the angle and position freely. The small size makes the installing easy, and the fully enclosed aluminum housing provides water and dust proof operation according to IP66. The temperature ranges from -20 °C to +60 °C.

The unit has 5,7 inch TFT display which is typically used to present meters, symbols, alarm information, etc. for the machine operator. In addition, the display unit can store usage and alarm data for the OEMs after sales support organization, for diagnostics and service use. The system supports also a feature where two separate displays are installed in the same machine.

Mobile machines seldom exist today without external connections to machine operators, leasing operators, or service organizations databases. The 2040 display unit provides all the necessary connection options for efficient connections. Ethernet, USB and serial connections allow modems and other data transferring devices to be connected. Two CAN connections provide interface for the control systems internal communication, as well as standardized connection to other manufacturers CAN devices. In addition, USB connections enable the usage of a keyboard, mouse, printers, or memory stick to transfer production data, alarm logs, or even update applications for the whole control system. For C-programmable displays licenses for remote access library and Modbus/TCP Slave communication are optionaly available. Communication connections are led through heavy duty AMPSEAL connections to ensure endurance even in the most demanding environmental conditions.

The display unit has five push buttons on the front of the panel. It is also possible to connect an external user wheel to the display's I/O for using and operating display’s application windows and other functions. Digital inputs and outputs of the display make it possible to connect external buttons. The usage of I/Os and other functions are made by the application program. The display unit can be flexibly and effectively programmed using C or CoDeSys Visualisation, thus utilizing its full potential with the help of ready made libraries.
